17 July 2011. According to Murdoch’s WSJ, Bin Laden was Planning More Attacks… I Think NOT!
REMEMBER who brought us this… George W Bush, Richard Cheney, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Paul Ryan, and all the other pleasant sorts in the New GOP (cheered on by Sarah, Sean, Bill, and all the other Murdoch-paid shills)… the rightwing wants “freedom” for the rich only… the rest of us can be groped… who cares, “they’re only little people”…

Read this:
Note this:
The primary target on bin Laden’s hit list was President Obama. Officials tell ABC News that bin Laden was trying to hatch a plan to kill President Obama by shooting down Air Force One or Marine One, the president’s plane and helicopter. Bin Laden hoped to kill General Petraeus, commander of forces in Afghanistan and soon-to-be CIA director the same way, either in a helicopter or fixed wing airplane with a missile or rocket propelled grenade. So, to recap, al Qaeda had designs to attack many things… trains, sports arenas, the president, the top US general, and probably others. It also wanted militants to infiltrate and attack some target on this year’s 9/11 anniversary. But it doesn’t look like the plans got past the wishful discussion stage. Again, as in the WSJ’s report, ABC includes the caveat that “Investigators don’t believe the planning got very far”.
Let’s keep this concise… the above is complete, utter, and blatant bullshit, designed to stampede people into allowing the feds to grope train travellers as well as airline passengers. It’s an unashamed rightwing plug for an extension of the entirely unneeded and neo-Nazi Patriot Act. Don’t forget, Rupert Murdoch owns the WSJ… probably, this is their way of drawing attention away from their under-fire scummer boss. THIS is the sort of nonsense that the rightwing eats up… and leads to TSA agents rummaging about in a 95-year-old’s Depends. The New GOP LOVES this. President Obama didn’t found the Department of Homeland Insecurity, nor did he appoint most of its high-level permanent staff (thoroughly infested with paranoid nativist New GOP rightwingers, I’m told). We didn’t need a Department of Homeland Insecurity for 225 years… suddenly, we need one, now? I think not… but don’t blame the poor sod TSA rank n’ filers (they’re the DHS types most often encountered by ordinary folk). Some TSA sorts told me on the QT that overly-exact “scripts” hobble their freedom of action and judgement (even what they say is precisely scripted and regimented)… they’re written by paranoid Mormon rightwingers… not “liberal Democrats”. If they deviate from them, they’re fired, and, in today’s economy, that’s a “death sentence”. Have some pity on them… they get all the blame whilst the righting slimers who wrote the policies get off scot-free. Let me leave you with another quote by Edward R Murrow:
We hardly need to be reminded that we’re living in an age of confusion… a lot of us have traded in our beliefs for bitterness and cynicism, or for a heavy package of despair, or even a quivering portion of hysteria. Opinions can be picked up cheap in the marketplace, while such commodities as courage, fortitude, and faith are in alarmingly short supply.
You know what to do… VOTE NEXT NOVEMBER… we CAN stop the madness!
